Arsenal have turned their attention to Toulouse midfielder
Etienne Capoue after cooling their interest in French and Rennes hardman Yann
M’Vila.
Manager Arsene Wenger is keen to add a combative midfielder
to his squad before the next season, and Capoue, who captains France’s under-21
side, is a target for the Gunners.
The 21-year-old has excelled for his club over the past few
seasons, and Toulouse manager Alain Casanova has admitted he may be forced into
selling the midfielder.

"I hope to keep him, but if we get an offer we can’t
refuse we will have to negotiate," Casanova is quoted as saying in French
newspaper Le 10 Sport.
"He’s a very good footballer with the potential to
succeed in a great team in the best league in the world."
M'VILA |
Reports earlier this summer suggested Arsenal were close to
tying up a deal for Rennes midfielder M’Vila, but Wenger is believed to have cooled
his interest in him due to concerns over the France international’s temperament
and discipline.
Arsenal may just have seen the the light, there is little wisdom in signing Yann M'vila. i'm not saying he wound'not be a good signing for Arsenal, in fact he would be massive but you know who else would be massive for us? FRANCIS COQUELIN.
It would be unfair to halt Coquelin's progression with the signing of M'vila, dont get me wrong but signing Capoue would not in any way harm Coquelin's development because they are two different kind of players.
COQUELIN |
I've always told any one who cares to listen, we are not sure Yann M'vila is better than Francis Coquelin apart from that they play almost the same way, besides he has a questionable character with reports showing he has been arrested 3 time in recent times (not that i mind if he would do a good job on the field).
Etienne Capoue would be our answer to Yaya Toure whose potential we failed to recognise when he was at Arsenal on trials years back, we need not pass the chance to sign this one this time.

My thoughts?
Wenger please sign Etienne Capoue, because
