ARSENAL HUNTS STRIKER

Arsenal has expressed an interest in signing Belgian international Kevin Mirallas.
The Belgian star has taken the Greek league by storm, scoring 34 league goals in 49 starts since joining the club from St. Etienne in 2010.
The 24 year old has a buy-out clause of just £6.4m, a fee that would be very attractive to Arsene Wenger who is renowned for operating shrewdly in the transfer market.
Mirallas has four years left on his contract but the Greek side can do little to stop clubs talking to their star striker due to the release clause in his contract.
However, the Belgian international’s good form for Olympiakos may not be enough for him to secure a move to the Premier League.

During a six year spell in France, he could only muster 13 league goals in 128 appearances, and has only scored five times in 27 appearances for Belgium, raising question marks whether Mirallas can perform at a higher level.

I've not talked about Arsenal and strikers since i read Robin Van Persie's  statement a few weeks ago but i have to break my silence on this at some point.
I'm really gutted that RVP is about to leave us, i thought we finally had a captain that was Arsenal through and through, but i was wrong, very wrong.
young RVP

We have been rocked since Thierry Henry and always managed to pick our selves up, but season after season an important player leaves, leaving us to pick up the pieces and move on.
Lately Cesc left and we still managed to find some one to pick out those passes in Alex Song, this now leaves me scared of having another of our players step up and carry the team cos he would want to leave after the season but is the captain of a team not supposed to carry his team?
So why carry your team and then decide they are no longer on the same level with you? every one in a team cant be world class but team work brings out the world class in you.
Commitment is really lacking at Arsenal, Commitment is what Chelsea have. Chelsea won the champions league wit ageing players who had their eyes on the price for almost a decade, if Drogba, Lampard and Terry had left they would not have won it but they kept on believing and the price came when their leg were getting weak.
If RVP decides to go, surely some one will step up and do the job for us, its not as if he has always been there since he was signed; some one else carried the team(which included) him all these while

In the absence of RVP next when the season starts we have Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski who look like they can do the job not to forget Nicklas Bendtner.
YES ! Bendtner. some thing gives me the feeling that he might just click at Arsenal this season but if he leaves then Kevin Mirallas will be a superb addition to the team but do we really want an attack that is new to the premiership? I really think Bendtner should stay if RVP has to go.

As for our players leaving, Wenger needs to call a meeting of the playing staff and ask for their commitment, if any one wants to leave let them leave now and we can bring in of promote from within committed players instead of derailing our plans every season
